Barcelona Card

The Barcelona Card is a tourist card that allows you to save time and money during your visit to the city. With free access to more than 25 museums and cultural venues, unlimited public transport (depending on the option chosen) and more than 70 discounts on activities and attractions, it is the perfect solution to make the most of your stay in the city.

There are two types of cards

Barcelona Card, with unlimited transport included.

Barcelona Card Essential, without unlimited transport included.

•        More than 70 discounts on visits, tours, shows and cultural activities.

•        Children aged 4 to 12 benefit from special discounted prices. Children under 3 years old have free access.

In addition, with the Barcelona Card you can travel comfortably around the city with unlimited use of the following public transport:

•        Metro (TMB), bus (TMB), tram (TRAM) and commuter trains (Renfe Rodalies, zone 1).

•        Montjuïc funicular and direct transport to Barcelona Airport (underground and train).

•        Does not include night buses!

•        Free access and discounts will only be valid once the card has been activated and during its period of validity.

•        The Barcelona Card can be purchased for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days. The card is valid for consecutive days, not for 24-hour periods.

•        The Barcelona Card is a smart card with an NFC chip that gives access to free establishments (one entry per person) and is activated when used for the first time at one of these establishments.

•        To enjoy the discounts, you must present the Barcelona Card (validated with the start date of use) to the staff at the participating establishment. Discounts are not valid in combination with other discounts and/or promotions.

•        The pass is valid until the end of the current year.

The Barcelona Card Family is a tourist card for families that offers free access to more than 10 attractions in Barcelona (such as the Zoo, Tibidabo, CosmoCaixa and L'Aquàrium) and unlimited transport around the city for 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours.

Is the Barcelona Card Family worth it?

Yes, it is worth it if you want to visit several family attractions and move around Barcelona freely, as it saves you time and money with free tickets and additional discounts.

How does the Barcelona Family Card work?

You purchase it online, collect it from a tourist information point, activate it when you enter the first attraction and, from that moment on, enjoy free access, discounts and unlimited transport for the duration of your purchase.

Can the Barcelona Card Family be shared?

No. The card is personal and non-transferable, so it cannot be shared between different people.
