Egyptian Museum of Barcelona

The Clos Archaeological Foundation – Egyptian Museum of Barcelona houses one of Europe's most important private collections of Ancient Egyptian art and culture, with a firm commitment to research, teaching and dissemination of this ancient civilisation.

Please go to the meeting point indicated in your reservation. Make sure you arrive at the selected time to guarantee your entry, as your ticket will only be valid at the specified time or up to 15 minutes after the scheduled time.

  • More than 2,000 m² of exhibition space bringing together nearly 1,000 original pieces: sarcophagi, mummies, jewellery, amulets and everyday objects that provide an insight into the life and customs of ancient Egypt.
  • The museum offers guided tours by Egyptologists, a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the historical and symbolic significance of each piece.
  • In addition to the permanent collection, the museum offers temporary exhibitions and an extensive programme of activities. Among the most notable are:
    • Night tours with dramatised scenes along the way.
    • The Eternal Banquet, a themed tour dedicated to Egyptian culinary art that includes a tasting inspired by foods of the period.

When is admission to the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona free?

The museum does not offer a free day for the general public, but it does grant free admission to children under 5, members of Club Super3, Club Junior, ICOM and Club de Amigos, as well as guests of Derby Hotels Collection, Egyptian nationals, official guides and accredited press. On Saturdays, guided tours are included at no additional cost.
