Montjuïc Cable Car

Montjuïc is one of Barcelona's great green spaces and a place steeped in history. From its viewpoints and castle, you can discover how this ancient hill, known in Iberian times as "Mount Jupiter", has been key to the defence of the city over the centuries.

How to get to the Montjuïc Cable Car

The Montjuïc Cable Car is located on Avenida Miramar, opposite the Montjuïc Municipal Swimming Pool. You can get there by:

  • Metro: L2 or L3 to Paral·lel + Montjuïc Funicular.
  • Bus: Lines 55 and 150.
  • Barcelona Bus Turístic: Red route (Montjuïc Cable Car stop)

How long does the Montjuïc Cable Car ride take?

The journey takes approximately 10 minutes each way.

What is the route of the Montjuïc Cable Car?

The cable car connects Montjuïc Park with Montjuïc Castle. The outward journey has no intermediate stops. On the return journey, there is an optional stop at the Mirador de l'Alcalde viewpoint, from where you can access the Miramar, Costa i Llobera, Cinto Verdaguer and Joan Brossa gardens.

How much does the Montjuïc Cable Car cost?
