Your journey to discover the wonders of Montserrat begins at Plaça España, from where you can take the train to Monistrol de Montserrat. Once on the mountain, you can choose between:
- Rack railway, inaugurated in the 19th century and recently renovated.
- Aeri de Montserrat, a cable car that climbs slopes of up to 45 degrees.
Both options offer spectacular panoramic views during the ascent to Montserrat. For those who want to go even higher, the Sant Joan Funicular allows you to reach heights from where you can see the horizon from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean Sea.
During your visit, you can enjoy the Audiovisual Space, a virtual tour that will reveal the interior of the Benedictine monastery. You can also visit the Montserrat Museum, where you can see works by Dalí, El Greco, Miró, Picasso, Tàpies, as well as treasures from the ancient biblical East.
