The Tres Tombs de Sant Antoni is a traditional parade of carriages, horses and animals that circles the neighbourhood three times to receive a blessing. Each January, the streets fill with decorated vintage carts while residents lean out to watch the procession pass. The festival honours the city’s agricultural past and its bond with animals. A much-loved winter festival, it is a celebration of history, culture and community rooted in collective memory.

This is good to know

Beyond the blessing of animals, the festival is a ritual of renewal: the three circuits – or tombs – made by the carts symbolise the protection of the home and the hope for prosperity.
It also includes the blessing of pets and, on occasion, the raffle of a pig or the release of doves.
