Divided into two floors, this updated eatery preserves elements of the old tavern, such as the bar and the wine flasks. Downstairs, there's a busy bar for tapas, high tables and a low table area, and upstairs, a quieter and more orderly dining room. Market-fresh cuisine and grilled dishes with top-quality, seasonal produce. Two tasting menus and a varied, appetising selection of tapas and dishes to share. The chickpeas with scarlet prawns are outstanding. An extensive wine list and attentive service. Booking is recommended, as it fills up quickly. A little gem.
