Eugeni de Diego's project in uptown Barcelona combines a small wine-cellar, a shop and a bar. The shop sells cured meats, cheeses, fresh milk, craft pasta, pickles and takeaway dishes, to name but a few. At the bar and a small number of tables, breakfasts and meals with slow-cooked stews are served, and half-portions can be ordered so more dishes can be tried. The tripe with potato omelette, the fricandó stew with sea cucumbers or the stroganoff meatballs are a must. To drink, nearly one hundred and twenty wine references, which can be ordered by the glass. You have to build up your strength for dunking your bread!
