Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera believes in an inclusive culture that is attentive to everyone’s needs, regardless of their abilities. For this reason, La Pedrera Accessible offers services and resources for physical, sensory and cognitive accessibility.
La Pedrera offers priority access to buy tickets without queuing and enter the building without waiting for people with disabilities who wish to visit the building but may find it difficult to plan a specific day and time. They can go directly to the visitor services team with their accreditation and purchase a ticket or, if they have already purchased one, enter the building without queuing through the main entrance at 92 Passeig de Gràcia.
All accredited assistance dogs are welcome.
People with a disability rating of 65% or higher are entitled to free admission to the La Pedrera Essencial visit and exhibitions. If they require a companion, the companion is eligible for the reduced rate. Free admission is granted at the ticket office upon presentation of documentation certifying the degree of disability.
For the visit, La Pedrera offers a range of resources through its video guide, available in different languages and designed to meet a variety of needs and audience profiles. These include subtitled videos, sign language interpretation, audio content with written transcripts and easy-to-read texts. The video guide is included in the ticket price and can be requested in the corridor leading to the lifts.

Visual
Due to the characteristics of Gaudí’s complex design, particularly on the rooftop, with its steps at different heights, blind and partially sighted visitors are advised to visit La Pedrera with a companion.
La Pedrera has tactile resources, including a general model of the building featuring architectural and sculptural details from both the interior and exterior. It is located at the beginning of the visit, in the passageway between the building’s two courtyards.
Tactile orientation plans are also available on each floor, indicating the visitor route. The plans are three-dimensional and labelled in three languages (Catalan, Spanish and English), using print, raised lettering and Braille. They are located on the ground floor, the Rooftop, the Attic (Espai Gaudí) and the fourth floor (the La Pedrera Apartment).
A document containing information about the building in Braille and large print is available for blind and partially sighted visitors in Catalan, Spanish and English. It can be requested from the visitor services team on presentation of the admission ticket.
La Pedrera offers guided tours in Catalan, Spanish and English, with a tactile itinerary, for groups of blind and partially sighted visitors. Temporary exhibitions on the Principal floor also offer guided tours with tactile, orientation and descriptive itineraries to help visitors discover the works on display and their artistic context.
All accredited assistance dogs are welcome.
Auditory
Deaf people who use subtitles can activate them in the video-guide menu. Deaf people who use sign language can access the video-guide content in Catalan Sign Language (LSC) and Spanish Sign Language (LSE).
La Pedrera offers guided tours of the building and temporary exhibitions with Catalan Sign Language (LSC) and Spanish Sign Language (LSE) interpreters.
Temporary exhibitions also provide transcripts of the audio narration, which can be downloaded via a QR code in the gallery before starting the visit.
Motor
La Pedrera is partially accessible to wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. A visit to La Pedrera includes lifts and ramps connecting the different floors. The areas that can be visited without obstacles are the courtyards, the La Pedrera Apartment and the Attic (Bóvedas).
The Rooftop can be accessed by lift and platform, but wheelchair users, people using crutches and visitors with pushchairs cannot move around the area, as it was originally designed with many changes in level. From the platform, visitors can enjoy an overall view of the different sculptural elements, including Gaudí’s famous chimneys.
When using the lifts, wheelchair users are assisted and guided by La Pedrera visitor services staff.
A wheelchair loan service is available to make the visit easier for people with reduced mobility. This service is subject to availability and must be booked in advance at: accessibilitat@flcp.cat
The building has accessible toilets on the ground floor, in the Exhibition Hall (main floor), in the Auditorium and in Sala Gaudí.
For people with reduced mobility, the exhibition hall also provides portable folding chairs to make the visit more comfortable. They can be requested at the entrance desk to the exhibition.
Cognitive
La Pedrera provides support to help people with cognitive disabilities understand the content of their visit.
For groups of people with cognitive impairment, "La Pedrera de la Memoria" is available: an adapted guided tour for groups of people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. It is aimed at organisations and groups that support people with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. Cognitive stimulation materials are provided both to prepare for the visit and to work with afterwards.
Each temporary exhibition at La Pedrera offers visits and cognitive stimulation activities for groups, with the aim of encouraging social interaction and stimulating memory before, during and after the visit.
To help visitors prepare for their visit and make the content of a self-guided visit to the building easier to understand, La Pedrera offers an easy-read guide to the building in Catalan, Spanish and English, which can be downloaded from its website.
The video guide content is also available in an adapted easy-read version in Catalan and Spanish, accessible from the video guide menu.
For temporary exhibitions, an easy-read leaflet is available for each exhibition in Catalan, Spanish and English. It can be downloaded from the La Pedrera website or accessed via the QR code in the exhibition room.
