“Barcelona 2035. A City for Living in” is a free exhibition exploring the major urban transformations that will shape Barcelona by 2035. Held at the Casa de l’Arquitectura as part of the 2026 World Capital of Architecture programme, it uses maps, images and models to show how these changes will affect housing, mobility, work and everyday life in the city’s neighbourhoods. It looks at projects including the future La Sagrera station, the transformation of the area around the Ciutadella and the renovation of Fira de Barcelona, Barcelona’s main trade-fair and exhibition venue, in Montjuïc.

This is... good to know

It is located in the former headquarters of the Gustavo Gili publishing house, a rationalist building designed by Joaquim Gili and Francesc Bassó and awarded the FAD Architecture Prize in 1961.

The exhibition also features an 84 m² scale model of Barcelona made up of 1,204 pieces and designed to be updated as the city evolves.
