The exhibition “Àngel Jové. De intactu” is the first comprehensive retrospective dedicated to the Catalan conceptual artist at the Museu Tàpies. It showcases nearly 1,500 pieces, including paintings, photographs, sculptures, films, graphic designs, and documents, tracing a career marked by emptiness, disappearance, pain, and the human condition. Visitors can follow the work of a creator who is difficult to pin down, situated between conceptual art, pop art, arte povera, and other currents in contemporary Catalan art.

This is... good to know

“De intactu” refers to the idea of a world that has been built anew and becomes intact again.

The exhibition includes his latest series, such as M’agradaria sortir de casa (2015-2020) (I'd like to leave home), along with pieces that help to understand the artist's most elusive side.
