Exhibition "Antoni Tàpies. El moviment perpetu del mur" ("Antoni Tàpies. The perpetual movement of the wall")

Educational activities are available for school and family groups, with supporting materials showing the textures and materials Antoni Tàpies used in his work. Guided visits for visitors with visual impairments can also be arranged in advance, using these tactile materials. Guide dogs are welcome throughout the museum.

The Museu Tàpies has very few architectural barriers. The historic building is well adapted for wheelchair users, and a recently built extension at the rear is fully accessible. Wheelchair loan service: Ask at reception. Entrance: The main entrance has a 12 cm-high step. Wheelchair users can use the alternative entrance through the door on the left, marked with the appropriate accessibility symbol and a call bell. Staff will open the door and provide access either via the short but steep ramp or by installing a portable ramp to make it less steep. A large lift directly opposite this entrance connects the reception area with the exhibition galleries. Reception: Reception is half a floor below street level. The museum shop and cloakroom lockers are also located here. The public service desk has two heights: 122 cm and 76 cm. The lower section can only be approached from the side in a wheelchair. The cloakroom lockers are no more than 103 cm high. Getting around the museum: The museum is easy to get around for visitors with reduced mobility. The galleries are spacious, with enough room to move between the displays in a wheelchair. The flooring is non-slip. The main exhibition gallery, auditorium and toilets are on floor -1. The temporary exhibition gallery is on floor -2. This area has two levels, separated by three steps. A platform lift is available for wheelchair users to move between the two levels. An exhibition space and the Foundation’s library are on floor 1. The library entrance has a small 4 cm-high threshold. Lifts: There are two lifts, both freely accessible, connecting all floors. The lift in the historic building has a 125 cm-wide door and does not reach the roof terrace. The lift in the modern part of the building has an 80 cm-wide door and provides access to the roof terrace, where the large sculpture Calcetín is located. Toilets: There is an accessible toilet on floor -1. The cubicle has a sliding door, 81 cm wide. There is a fixed grab rail to the left of the toilet and a fold-down grab rail to the right. There is clear space beneath the washbasin, 71 cm high and 46 cm deep. Museum shop: The shop is on the lower mezzanine, alongside reception and the public service area. The counter has two heights: 122 cm and 76 cm. The space is suitable for wheelchair users.

The Museu Tàpies collaborates on social inclusion projects and provides advice to help visitors plan self-guided visits. Guided activities adapted for people with comprehension and learning needs are also available on request.
