“Aurèlia Muñoz. Ens” is a major retrospective exhibition dedicated to this pioneering Catalan textile artist, organized to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of her birth. The showcase features more than 150 pieces, from early collages to massive macramé and paper sculptures, transforming weaving into an avant-garde discipline. In her works, threads climb up high, hang from the ceiling, remain taut, and fill the room.

This is... good to know

Her famous pieces from the Ocells-estels (Bird-Kites) series are designed to resemble real kites. She even flew them on beaches and in fields before hanging them in museums.
