The Fira Literal is a celebration of daring books and bold ideas, held each spring at Fabra i Coats in the Sant Andreu neighbourhood. This is no ordinary book fair: instead, it offers spaces filled with challenging ideas and radical literature, alongside debates designed to inspire change. The fair goes beyond the usual concept of a marketplace, showcasing books and publishers that champion critical thinking and demonstrating that literature is far more than mere entertainment. Alongside the marketplace, visitors will find a stage for performances and areas dedicated to food, reading and play. It is a space to discover new voices and to experience literature as a shared conversation.

This is good to know

Celebrating ‘radical books’, the event is far more than a fair: each edition features debates, concerts and workshops that see culture as a space for dialogue and challenge.
Come empty-handed – you’ll leave with a rucksack full of titles you won’t find in the big chains.
