Fire! Mostra Internacional de Cinema Gai i Lesbià is Spain’s longest-running LGTBI festival. For nearly three decades, it has placed Barcelona firmly on the international map of queer cinema with LGTBIQ+ stories. Its programme, which brings together fiction and documentary, champions diversity and creative boldness. Each edition turns cinemas into meeting points, where audiences gather for discussions after screenings. Here, film brings diverse identities into view, questions them and celebrates them with ease and conviction.

This is good to know

In the 2023 edition, Fire! Mostra paid tribute to Pedro Almodóvar with a special screening of La ley del deseo (Law of Desire).
Beyond the screenings, the festival turns cinemas into spaces where sexual and gender diversity is not only represented, but shared and experienced collectively.
