The Grand Départ of the 2026 Tour de France puts Barcelona at the centre of the cycling world. On 4 July, the race begins with a team time trial from the Fòrum to Montjuïc, passing landmarks such as the Sagrada Família. The second stage links Tarragona and Barcelona on a demanding route that ends with several climbs of Montjuïc. For the first time, the city hosts the official start, becoming the backdrop for one of the biggest events in international sport and drawing teams and fans from around the world.
