Viu Montjuïc is a cultural festival held over a weekend on Montjuïc hill. Over 40 cultural venues – including museums, theatres, gardens and arts centres – join forces to offer a shared programme of free or low-cost activities. Known as the “Park of Culture” celebration, it invites you to enjoy design installations, concerts, dance performances, workshops and guided tours in a stunning open-air setting. The festival transforms this iconic corner of Barcelona into a lively, inclusive experience for everyone.

This is good to know

There are routes that only exist during the festival: secret passages, hidden viewpoints or shelters usually closed to the public.
Nature and biodiversity trails allow you to explore Montjuïc’s green ecosystem, with engaging explanations suitable for all ages.
As well as culture, there’s plenty of delicious food: street food areas and popular picnic spots invite visitors to spend the whole day on the hill, unhurried and at their own pace.
