The Observatori Fabra is a scientific centre established in 1904, devoted to astronomy, meteorology and seismology. From the Serra de Collserola, it looks out over both sky and city, bringing together scientific rigour and modernista architecture. Its silhouette, designed by Josep Domènech i Estapà, stands as a landmark above Barcelona. Here, stars are studied, earthquakes recorded and the rhythms of the urban climate measured. A place where time is marked in orbits rather than minutes.

This is good to know

One of the oldest observatories in the world still in continuous operation, it has been active without interruption since the early 20th century.
Guided evening visits include observation through the original 1904 telescope and dinner under the stars.
