The Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB) is a conference and convention venue with capacity for 15,000 delegates, designed by Josep Lluís Mateo. It places Barcelona firmly on the international stage. Located by the Mediterranean, it is defined by its clean, contemporary lines and its integration with the maritime surroundings. The glass and aluminium façade reflects the changing light throughout the day, subtly altering the building’s appearance. Open-plan spaces, high ceilings and advanced acoustic and sustainability features make it a regular setting for professional and cultural events. It reflects a Barcelona that looks towards the sea while continuing to evolve.

This is good to know

The CCIB is connected by an underground walkway to the Auditori Fòrum, which has a capacity of more than 3,000 people and is located beneath the Museu de Ciències Naturals.
