The Edifici Gas Natural is a skyscraper that appears to defy gravity by the sea. Designed by the Miralles Tagliabue studio (EMBT), it combines glass and steel in a composition of irregular volumes, with a striking cantilever projecting into open space. Its façade shifts with the light throughout the day, giving it a constantly changing presence on the Fòrum skyline. With more than 20 storeys of office space, it reflects a contemporary Barcelona in dialogue with its industrial past.

This is good to know

Built on the site of Spain’s first gas factory, it acknowledges the coastline’s industrial past.
