The Edifici de Ràdio Nacional d’Espanya stands in the heart of the 22@ district. After leaving its historic headquarters on Passeig de Gràcia, the broadcaster moved into this glass-clad volume fitted with solar shading louvres that act as brise-soleil. Five open-plan floors, a grid of concrete columns and a central service core meet the technical requirements of modern radio. Its presence continues the dialogue with Poblenou’s industrial past.

This is good to know

The area also sets the contemporary architecture of the broadcasting building against the former brick factories of Poblenou, once known as the “Catalan Manchester”.
Guided visits to the studios are not usually available, except during open days or special events.
