The Canòdrom Meridiana is a former greyhound racing venue transformed into a key example of modern rationalism in Barcelona. In contrast to the heavy post-war constructions, it features a steel framework that imparts a light, almost floating appearance. Its parabolic plan and suspended roof enhance this sense of movement. The ensemble is completed by a system of vertical concrete sunshades that filter the light and create a visual rhythm that is both functional and expressive.
