Parc de la Creueta del Coll is a former quarry converted into a green space in the Coll neighbourhood. It is a quiet place, ideal for switching off, especially in summer, when its lake becomes a public swimming pool. In the shade of the trees, among play areas and sports spaces, hangs Elogio del Agua, a monumental sculpture by Eduardo Chillida suspended above the pond. An unusual combination of urban nature and contemporary art invites visitors to stay longer than planned. The park’s mountainous setting, with paths and changes in level, also allows visitors to enjoy elevated views of the district.

This is good to know

It is common to see local residents playing pétanque, families enjoying impromptu outdoor picnics, or swimmers resting beneath the trees or sunbathing on the concrete platforms after a refreshing dip. Here, everyday life finds a natural pause.
Although the park is open throughout the year, during the summer months the lake operates as a public swimming pool with limited capacity and regulated access. It is advisable to check opening times and admission fees before visiting, particularly on hot days.
