Park Güell

The park contains numerous interesting elements that can be touched, such as: the salamander covered with trencadís located on the main staircase; the large bench, also made of trencadís, that surrounds the entire perimeter of the square; the Doric-style columns of the Hypostyle Hall; the butterfly-shaped iron railings; etc.
It is a pleasant park for walking where you can enjoy nature and architecture, as well as its sounds (water from the fountains, birds, occasional musical performances with very good acoustics) and the scents of diverse vegetation.
There is a dog recreation area in the Forest Zone.

Wheelchair users are advised to visit with a companion, as Park Güell is located on a hill and therefore has some steep slopes.
It is also recommended to enter the park via the entrance on Carretera del Carmel.
Although the Monumental Zone of Park Güell has some architectural barriers, alternative routes make it possible to enjoy a very complete visit of the park. See the accessible route map:

Park Güell has wheelchairs available for loan upon prior request. If needed, requests should be sent by email to parkguell@bsmsa.cat

The tourist coach park, located on Carretera del Carmel, has 3 free parking spaces for people with reduced mobility travelling in an authorised vehicle.

There is a taxi stopping area for picking up and dropping off passengers at the Carmel entrance (Carmel, 23).

The shop and toilets are located at the foot of the main staircase. Each toilet area has accessible cubicles.

The two entrance pavilions are also located in this area and can be visited. However, the presence of steps and their limited dimensions make them inaccessible to wheelchair users.

Gaudí House Museum, located inside the park, is reached via a stone ramp with a gradient ranging from 12% to 14%. Although it is not accessible, it can be viewed from the outside.

It is recommended to use the official park app: "Park Güell Visita Inclusiva", which offers interactive maps, audio guides, videos and routes adapted to cognitive needs.
