Passeig de Gràcia is one of Barcelona’s most emblematic avenues, stretching from Plaça de Catalunya to the Gràcia district and home to some of the city’s most exclusive boutiques. Modernista façades line the street, alongside wide pavements and the undulating trencadís (broken tile mosaic) benches designed by Pere Falqués. Between international brands, historic jewellers and polished shopfronts, the architecture takes centre stage: Casa Batlló and La Pedrera define the avenue with Antoni Gaudí’s distinctive style. It’s a street that rewards slowing down, where looking up is part of the experience.

This is good to know

It is also home to the Illa de la Discòrdia (Block of Discord), where Domènech i Montaner, Puig i Cadafalch and Antoni Gaudí play out different architectural styles.
