The Pont de Bac de Roda, designed by Santiago Calatrava, is a sculptural modern bridge linking the districts of Sant Andreu and Sant Martí. It opened in 1987 during the urban transformation that prepared the city for the 1992 Olympic Games. Its symmetrical curves and side cables give the white structure a distinctive profile in the cityscape.
