Rambla de Catalunya is an elegant pedestrian avenue linking Plaça de Catalunya with Avinguda Diagonal. Framed by Modernista façades and lively terraces, a stroll here is a daily ritual. Boutiques, bookshops and galleries sit alongside cafés where you can linger over a vermouth. Less about spectacle than atmosphere, it offers one of the Eixample’s most pleasant and refined stretches beneath tree-lined walkways and carefully kept shopfronts.

This is good to know

Casa Serra, designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, is one of the avenue’s most emblematic buildings.
Along the central promenade, two bronze sculptures by Josep Granyer add a playful touch: Brau pensant (Thinking Bull, near Gran Via) and La jirafa coqueta (Flirtatious Giraffe, near Avinguda Diagonal).
