Rambla del Raval
Urban spaces
Rambla del Raval is a modern pedestrian boulevard that reshaped the heart of the neighbourhood in the late 20th century. Its straight layout cuts through the older street pattern, opening up a space where everyday life plays out in the open. Tall palm trees, busy terraces and a steady mix of locals and visitors give it its rhythm. Modern buildings, hotels and shops sit alongside one of the area’s best-known sculptures, Gat (Cat) by Fernando Botero. It’s a boulevard that shows El Raval as it is: direct, varied and full of character.
