Casa del Libro is one of Barcelona’s larger bookshops and somewhere you can easily end up spending more time than you meant to. It brings together classics, new releases and titles in art, design and contemporary literature. Most books are in Spanish and Catalan, with a carefully chosen English section and other languages as well. The space is spacious and well organised, and it encourages browsing at an unhurried pace: flicking through books, coming across unfamiliar authors or simply drifting from shelf to shelf with no particular plan.
