The Palau Foundation is a museum and cultural centre in Caldes d’Estrac that preserves the legacy of the poet Josep Palau i Fabre. Opened in 2003, it houses an archive, a library and an art collection in which Picasso holds a central place, alongside works by Miró, Tàpies and other figures of contemporary Catalan art. It also hosts temporary exhibitions, educational activities and initiatives such as the Poesia i + festival. A space where literature and avant-garde meet on equal terms.

This is good to know

The Fundació Palau collection comprises around 1,300 pieces and dedicates a room to the relationship between the poet and Picasso, an artistic friendship rich in significance.
