Barcino is an urban visual poem by Joan Brossa located in front of the ancient Roman wall. Made up of six bronze letters and one aluminium letter, it spells out the name of the Roman colony from which Barcelona originated. The work turns the word into sculpture and the square into an open reading space: each letter has its own volume, position and character. The installation invites you to walk around it, look closely and read the city from every angle.
