Topos V is a cast-iron sculpture by Eduardo Chillida located in Plaça del Rei. Its open, geometric forms contrast with the medieval setting, yet they also seem to fit naturally within it, with a calm and powerful presence. The work was conceived specifically for this location, hence its direct relationship with the square, the stone and the history that surrounds it. In its arches, some see a possible “B” for Barcelona, as a discreet tribute to the city.
