The Mercat de la Concepció is a historic neighbourhood market in the Eixample that brings together everyday shopping and a strong local character. Beneath its 19th-century iron structure, stalls selling fruit, fish and meat sit alongside small gourmet specialties. The atmosphere is shaped as much by colour and scent as by the produce itself. Known as the “flower market”, it is especially recognised for its florists, which give it an identity that goes beyond food.

This is good to know

Its outdoor flower market is open 24 hours, making it one of the few places where you can pick up a bouquet at any time of day or night.
Alongside the traditional stalls, there are also dining spaces where you can try fresh produce on site, turning a visit into a relaxed food stop.
