The Telefèric del Port links Barceloneta with Montjuïc, crossing above the harbour. In service since 1931, it turns a short journey into something to watch as much as to take. The cabins rise to nearly 80 metres, opening up views from the sea right across to the skyline. Its steel towers, typical of early 20th-century engineering, are a reminder that in Barcelona, even getting from A to B can come with a view.

From above, the cable car feels less like transport and more like a floating balcony: in just ten minutes, the port, the beach, the rooftops of El Raval and the outline of Tibidabo all come into view.
