Located at the beginning of La Rambla, facing the sea and next to Port Vell, the Monument to Christopher Columbus is one of Barcelona's most recognisable symbols. Built for the 1888 Universal Exhibition, this iconic viewpoint allows visitors to climb inside the column to a panoramic viewpoint 60 metres above ground level.
From the top of the Columbus Monument, you can enjoy a 360º view of the port, Montjuïc, the Gothic Quarter, the Mediterranean Sea and the city skyline. A short, central experience that is the perfect way to round off any stroll along La Rambla.
