Guide dogs are allowed. All rooms are spacious, free of obstacles and have rough ground strips. There are also handrails that allow people with blindness or low vision to move around the space comfortably. People who wear glasses can also enjoy the exhibitions that require the use of virtual reality glasses. It is possible to request guided tours and/or special visits where users can touch the objects on display with their hands. Requests must be made by emailing info@idealbarcelona.com.

The IDEAL center is located in a single-story space, which has adaptations for people who move in wheelchairs or other support mechanisms. All rooms are spacious, free of obstacles and with wide access. However, some of them have carpets and curtains, which could affect the free movement of wheelchairs. In almost all rooms there are chairs or benches to sit and rest. The Virtual Reality Room offers the option of doing the activity sitting down to avoid standing throughout the experience. All posters, support materials, teaching resources, exhibited objects, etc. are at an appropriate angle and height for wheelchair users and people of short or average height. It has toilets adapted for people with reduced mobility.

The exhibitions have QR codes that allow you to download the information to your mobile devices. However, the written resources are not yet adapted to easy-to-read standards. All the spaces are dark, with loud music (and sound), and numerous visual and auditory stimuli. It should be noted that although there are signs indicating the directions to follow, the proposed itineraries can be confusing and not very intuitive.
