The visit to the Refuge is completely suitable and recommended for blind people. Directions: Nou de la Rambla street, where the Refuge is located, is perpendicular to Paral·lel avenue. You must take Nou de la Rambla towards Montjuïc (you will notice that it goes uphill as you walk) and follow the path along the sidewalk on the left. If you are coming from Paral·lel you must cross three streets perpendicular to Nou de la Rambla and after the fourth, walk about 50 meters. You will notice that a wall ends on your left and that there is a metal door, like a garage. This is the entrance to the refuge. The guides' speech is descriptive and understandable and during the tour you can touch original elements that help you understand what the shelter was like during the Civil War as well as the basic elements of its construction: a marble sink, the Catalan vaults made of brick, the holes in the infirmary's air chamber, the "drawers" made of stone to store utensils, etc. It should be taken into account that, although the height is 2.10 m along most of the tour, in a small corridor it is much lower and therefore the guide or companions will need to warn people with visual impairments of the risk of collisions. You will also need to be careful in some places where the ground is a bit uneven. The 307 air raid shelter in Barcelona is partially wheelchair accessible due to the configuration of the space. The route through the tunnels presents some accessibility difficulties. It is recommended that people with reduced mobility be accompanied. Entrance and exit: - The entrance door is metal, swinging and has a width of 84 cm. - The exit door is metal and has a width of 86 cm. Please note: there is a step that is 20 cm high. Between the entrance door to the site and the entrance to the tunnels there is an exhibition area, with panels and photographs, accessible and equipped with a wooden platform. Circulation inside: Inside the tunnels there are narrow passages that may make it difficult for people in wheelchairs to circulate. The pavement is compacted earth and there is humidity in some areas. The tunnel route has 4 ramps, with sections between 5 m and 7 m, a clear passage width between 76 cm and 1.36 m, and an inclination that oscillates between 7% and 20%. Toilets: There is an adapted toilet. The door is 86 cm wide. There is a folding support bar to the left of the toilet and another fixed one to the right. There is a free space under the sink that allows frontal approach.
