This museum is dedicated to contemporary Catalan painting and is managed by the Fundació Vila Casas. Located in the 22@ technology district, it occupies a restored former textile factory, where industrial architecture sits alongside more than 300 works created from the 1960s to the present day. The permanent collection is displayed in a clear, restrained layout, where the space enhances how the works are seen. Temporary exhibitions, educational activities and guided visits complete a programme that brings past and present together.

This is good to know

The permanent exhibition, Monólogo, Diálogo y Concepto (Monologue, Dialogue and Concept), spans three floors and groups the works according to different forms of creative exchange.
The building combines the original factory structures with contemporary additions by Jordi Badia, a contrast that makes the building itself part of the museum’s story.
