Museums
The Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya is the local institution responsible for preserving and interpreting the material remains that tell the story of Catalonia from Prehistory to the Middle Ages. Situated on Montjuïc, the museum displays archaeological artefacts, sculptures, and ritual objects that reveal the creativity, beliefs and social organisation of the cultures that inhabited the region. Its permanent and temporary exhibitions offer a visual journey through the western Mediterranean, where each piece, no matter how small, carries the imprint of a civilisation.
