Museums
The Museu d’Història de Catalunya is a centre devoted to narrating the history and identity of Catalonia from its beginnings to the present day. Situated in the Palau de Mar, opposite Port Vell, the museum occupies a symbolically rich setting. Through original artefacts, staged scenes and interactive resources, the site offers a dynamic journey through the region’s social and cultural development. Rather than providing an academic presentation, the museum offers an accessible way to understand how the region and its collective memory have been shaped. Temporary exhibitions and guided tours complement a visit that links past and present with a contemporary perspective.
