The Museu de Badalona is a cultural and archaeological centre dedicated to the memory of ancient Roman Badalona, known as "Baetulo". Beneath the modern city, visitors can follow walkways through preserved streets, baths and urban remains, while sculptures, mosaics and everyday objects help reconstruct life centuries ago. The site offers an insight into how a Roman city was organised and how architecture, domestic life, public activity and spirituality coexisted.
Beyond the mosaics and sculptures, one piece tends to draw particular attention: the Venus de Badalona, discovered by chance during construction work.
If opening hours allow, make your way to the Early Christian baptistery and look closely at its details: it is one of the most distinctive traces of ancient spirituality preserved in the city.
