Museu Marítim de Barcelona

The Drassanes i Galeras exhibition has different sensory spaces that enhance the visitor experience. These are two models of the Drassanes Reials building in Barcelona, ​​home to the Maritime Museum, and tactile resources from the Galera Reial, as well as the stonemasons' marks found on the stone pillars of the building. Both spaces are labeled in large print and Braille. The temporary exhibitions incorporate tactile resources and information leaflets in Braille and large print. Guide dogs are allowed throughout the site.

The building that houses the Barcelona Maritime Museum is wheelchair accessible. The accessible route is signposted. The bow viewpoint of the life-size replica of the Royal Galley is not accessible to people with mobility problems. There is an alternative access that is made through a platform, after prior notice to the auxiliary staff of the rooms. To access the temporary exhibitions that are held in the El Mirador space there is a lift. The Museum offers a wheelchair loan service for those visitors who need it, or lightweight portable chairs to take short breaks during the visit to the museum. There are accessible toilet facilities in the lobby and inside the Museum.

Families with children with autism or people with cognitive disabilities can visit the exhibitions in the collection with self-guided tours (in Catalan and Spanish) that can be downloaded in advance from the Museum's website, or requested at the ticket offices on the same day of the visit.
