The Velòdrom d’Horta is an iconic cycling stadium next to Passeig de la Vall d’Hebron, designed by Esteve Bonell and Francesc Rius. It was built for the 1984 Track Cycling World Championships, shaped to meet sporting requirements while sitting within the surrounding natural landscape. In 1992, it hosted the track cycling events of the Olympic Games. Although it no longer stages major competitions, this large multi-sport venue remains active, hosting training sessions and a range of activities beyond cycling, open to everyone.
