Casa Gomis, known as La Ricarda, is a seminal work of Catalan rationalism with influences from organic architecture. It is distinguished by its vaulted roof, metal pillars, and its almost seamless integration into a coastal pine forest. Structured around a square grid, it combines ceramic vaults, large windows, and spaces that blur the boundary between interior and exterior. During the Franco era, the house was much more than architecture: it became a meeting place and a hub of thought, a cultural and intellectual refuge.

Artists such as John Cage, Antoni Tàpies and Joan Miró passed through here, and in 2025 the house entered a new phase as it was transferred to state ownership to become a cultural centre.
