Casa Roviralta is a former modernista farmhouse spread over four floors. Nestled in the Sant Gervasi – la Bonanova neighbourhood, it was renovated between 1903 and 1913 by Joan Rubió i Bellver, a disciple of Gaudí. Also known as “The White Friar”, it immediately catches the eye with its white walls, finely crafted brickwork and green-painted joinery. Its tower, with pointed arches, seems plucked straight from a fairytale. Inside, private courtyards recall its monastic past, now converted for hospitality use. An architectural modernista gem, bearing witness to the history of the neighbourhood – and its enduring character.

This is good to know

From certain angles, the silhouette of its tower looks like a Gothic fairy-tale spire, rising above the greenery of the avenue.
The glazed ceramics on its façade were made by local workshops and reflect the naturalist influences of Catalan Modernisme.
