Casa Sert is a Rationalist residential building with a symmetrical façade designed by the architect Josep Lluís Sert in the early 1930s. It exemplifies the arrival of the Modern Movement in Catalonia. Its architecture is based on functionalism, abundant natural light, high ceilings and continuity between interior and exterior spaces. Each element follows a clear logic aimed at better ways of living. Light does more than illuminate, it organises the space.
