The telephone exchange of Vila Olímpica is a telecommunications facility designed as an urban gateway linking the Eixample grid with the coastline. Its design is structured into two distinct volumes: an elliptical aluminium form and a prismatic stone block. Although its function is purely technical, the building avoids industrial neutrality and establishes a clear presence at the neighbourhood’s entrance.
