The ETSAB (Higher Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona) is an academic complex that brings into dialogue the rationalist rigour of Josep Maria Segarra with the organic modernity of Coderch. The main block is characterised by its system of vertical slats and a strict functional modulation, while the extension reinterprets this logic through the warmth of exposed brick, curved walls and recessed volumes. This contrast of textures and structural patterns reflects the transition from the functionalism of the 1960s to an architecture more attentive to spatial experience.

Access to the campus common areas is unrestricted. It is advisable to observe the interplay of shadows on the façades, which plays a key role in the building’s solar control.
