Houses and emblematic buildings
The Hotel Park stands as a benchmark of neorationalism, reflecting the opening of modern architecture in Barcelona after the post-war period, with Scandinavian influences of an organic and expressionist nature. On a plot scarcely seven metres wide, Antoni de Moragas designed a building that departs from a rigid plan to unfold a façade with a broken line, marked by cantilevers and rhythm. With concrete as its foundation and a clear intent towards lightness, the ensemble introduces a new way of building in the city, also evident inside, where a spiral staircase encapsulates that blend of structure and design.
