Plaça de Josep Freixa i Argemí, 11
Houses and emblematic buildings
La Masia Freixa is a modernist building in Terrassa, renovated by the architect Lluís Muncunill between 1905 and 1910. The original structure was built in 1896 as a textile factory, until the industrialist Josep Freixa transformed it into a family residence. This dual identity contributes to its charm: an industrial building reinterpreted through modernist aesthetics. Its white walls, parabolic arches and sinuous silhouette reveal a clear Gaudian influence. The octagonal lookout tower and the successive porches complete this emblematic example of Catalan industrial modernism.
