Torre Glòries is an iconic skyscraper on the Barcelona skyline that turns architecture into urban presence. Inaugurated in 2005 and designed by Jean Nouvel, its cylindrical silhouette rises 144 metres like a contemporary geyser. Its glass and aluminium skin, animated by LED lighting, turns the building into a shifting presence in dialogue with the city, especially at night when it lights up in colour. Located in the 22@ district it houses offices and a viewing platform and reflects a city that is creative, innovative and constantly evolving.

This is good to know

The LED lighting changes colour and pattern for festivals and social causes, acting as a visual snapshot of what is happening in the city.
Visit at night and take the lift up to the 30th-floor viewing deck for a striking, less familiar view of Barcelona.
